Support for people facing domestic abuse

Women and children's services
We provide a range of services for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. As one of the largest refuges in the country we assist a total of 57 women with high to low level support needs within safe and secure accommodation and with tenancy support. As part of the Refuge-On-Line we offer accommodation to women from any part of the country, though priority is given to local women and their children. We also assist women with male children up to the age of 16 years.
Individual support is provided to ensure every woman is aware of the options available to her in order to make informed choices and decisions to enhance her future safety, welfare, stability and that of her children.
Mens Services
Caldmore has a wealth of experience in providing services to women fleeing Domestic
Abuse. We have used this experience and commitment to the benefit of developing a new
service for men suffering domestic abuse from their partners, environments and families. It
is a pilot scheme providing 4 units of accommodation for men and their children.
The service will be part of a nationwide refuge network assisting men in difficult
circumstances; however, priority will be given to local men in Walsall. Although the service
is directly related to domestic abuse, the support is provided by a separate team from that
of the women’s services.
