Garden Makeover for Kids and Parents

Our housing scheme for parents and children got a mini-makeover on Wednesday 9th September to celebrate Caldmore joining the Accord Group.

As part of a landscaping project, a slide, a bench and a large planter were unveiled in the garden of Tanners Court in Glebe Street.

Caldmore is joining the Accord Group to secure its long-term future as an independent community-based association providing homes and services to local people.

The Accord Group is made up of seven independent housing associations which run their own individual organisations while benefiting from shared costs, services, knowledge and expertise.

Caldmore Chief Executive Mike Hew said: “Joining the Accord Group will help us to grow and thrive and this is a really nice way to officially mark this new stage in the development of Caldmore Area Housing Association. We hope that the residents and their children enjoy the slide, bench and other improvements for years to come.”

Dr Chris Handy OBE, Chief Executive of the Accord Group, said: “Caldmore has a proud history as a community-based organisation and we are delighted to be able to support them in delivering excellent housing and services for local people.”
