Phoenix House
This new scheme provides safe and supported accommodation for women & children fleeing domestic abuse. It is a development grown from the excellent work achieved at our long standing refuge Aven House, and will focus its service towards the needs of women and children from Black & Ethnic Minority Groups, including Refugees. We aim to assist women who choose to escape forced marriages and who need the support to achieve this.
It opened to its doors to women in July 08 and we plan to sensitively promote the service in November in cooperation with our partner agents and Supporting People who are funding the service.
