Estates days and Neighbourhood Regeneration
The annual Estates days are simply unique in their delivery, partners, stakeholders, schemes, and the people they hope to help by to brightening and environmentally improving areas within our community. Since our first Estates day on the 27th April 2007, this initiative has gone from strength to strength.
On 25th of April 2008, our teams covered seven areas and saw over 40 volunteers with a host of skills turned out to make a difference to the environment and to people’s lives.
Walsall is part of a massive regeneration strategy which runs in to hundreds of millions, and aims to improve Walsall physically and economically, ensuring the community becomes more vibrant.
We at Caldmore are doing our bit by improving areas, through our Landscaping team and Connaught’s our contractors, helping people through our volunteer scheme to get skills so they can be equipped when entering in to the world of work and setting up resident groups and panels to involve residents in decision making in areas where they live.
Caldmore, with our partner associations which forms the Matrix partnership has been at the forefront with tenant inspectors, where we have trained tenants to inspect and they have successfully carried out a inspections of customer service areas.
