Caldmore volunteer projects

 

The Volunteer Project was set up in March 1998 to provide support, training and work experience for local people.  To date over 750 volunteers have been recruited.

The aim of this initiative is to recruit and support volunteers to build up their confidence, motivation and self-belief, and enable those who desire it to compete in the employment market.  Many volunteers do go on to employment, training or further education.

As well as finding placements for volunteers to gain experience within Caldmore Housing, the Volunteer Project offers advice and guidance to volunteers who are looking for placements elsewhere. Training is a high priority for us and we aim to offer volunteers as much training as we possibly can. Any training opportunities that become available will be offered to all volunteers. Volunteers placed at Caldmore Housing's Supported Housing Schemes will be offered training linked to their placement.
