Caldmore Tenant Federation

Caldmore is committed to encouraging tenants and service users to make a contribution to the planning, delivery and monitoring of services that affect their homes and communities.

We have an elected tenant representative panel known as “Offserve”, which was formed in 1999 and was originally took the role of a ‘customer watchdog’. In order to develop a much stronger voice, & in order to comply with national guidelines, it was felt that a reformed panel should be established. At the 2009 AGM a new panel was duly elected which we feel will be able to meet these requirements. Since then a lot of work has been carried out (& indeed is ongoing) to bring the panel up to date.

We are very happy to confirm our commitment to the new panel, which will have a new name & hopes to launch in the summer of 2009. The new chair will also be invited the Board of Management, to continue representing tenants. The new name of the panel will be Caldmore Tenants Federation (CTF).

One of the key roles for CTF is to co-ordinate the work of all Caldmore resident groups so that the views of our tenants can be effectively focussed and good practice can be discussed and shared CTF has an Office at 18 Caldmore Green and has regular access to our managers and team leaders to discuss various service and performance issues.  The office is covered by volunteer panel members most weekdays between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.  If residents need to make contact they can write to the “CTF Chair” 18 Caldmore Green, Walsall WS1 3RL or they can send emails to mail_ctf@yahoo.co.uk or contact can be made via the independent website at  www.caldmoretenantsfederation.eu

CTF is elected annually and every tenant and resident over the age of 18 is invited to the general meeting and is entitled to vote.  The Annual meetings usually take place in March or early April and tenants are asked to check in the latest edition of local Gossip for up to date details on CTF activity.  The current panel and the association are very keen to involve as many residents as possible in tenant led activities so if you have time, energy or ideas, we want to hear from you straight away – no need to wait for the next meeting!
CTF will this year be launching a new structure with the aim of making an even greater impact for the benefit of Caldmore’s tenants, residents and communities.  Theme groups have been established, each with a champion to drive through the initiatives they plan to introduce.  The groups announced so far are as follows:

You do not need to be elected as an CTF member to be able to take an active part in these theme groups – if you are a Caldmore resident and feel you have something to contribute, please get in touch now (use the above links).
