Services for Young People

 

Hope Street
The scheme provides a 24 hour support service to vulnerable young homeless people aged 16 to 25 years. It can accommodate 8 young people at any one time who can demonstrate they are in housing need and require support to assist them in their development towards independence. The scheme supports some of the most vulnerable young people in Walsall, where support is tailored to address the individual needs. We work closely with partner agents to ensure a comprehensive service is available to promote the best opportunity to develop skills and enhance the life chances of the young people.
Situated in the Caldmore Area it is convenient for the town centre and the security measures in place ensure the young people’s safety is paramount.

Broadway North
The schemes provide a combination of housing support for vulnerable young people in housing need. 5 Broadway North provides the core 24 hour support service with 1 Broadway North offering a move-on provision for young people who have a higher level of independence, age range is 16 - 25 years.
Staff provide specific support which is tailored to meet the individual needs of each young person. The aim of the service is to ensure the appropriate support is offered to assist the young person reach a level of independence to live in the community with adequate skills and confidence, including access to employment, training and education.
Based close to the town centre and the Arboretum the properties provide excellent access to all services and amenities.

Jervis Court
Jervis Court achieved Foyer Accreditation in October 2006, making it the first accredited Foyer in Walsall. The scheme provides semi supported housing to 16 young people aged 16 – 25 and all properties are self contained.
Services are provided to ensure individuals receive appropriate support to assist in their progress towards independent living, with a high emphasis placed on employment, training and education.
Based close to the town centre and the Arboretum the property provides excellent access to all services and amenities.

Floating Support Services/Tenancy Support -This support service is provided to young people aged 16 – 25 years who live in their own accommodation and who are in need of assistance to manage and maintain their tenancies effectively. Support is tailored to meet the individual needs of each tenant and will remain in place until the tenant and Support Worker agree the level of independence achieved has been met. We are funded to support 36 tenants renting a property from any RSL or private landlord.
