Caldmore welcomes new Chairperson for Offserve
On the 31st March 2009, tenants of Caldmore elected a new committee the members are as follows:
Melvyn Shaw – Chairperson – Highgate area
Robert James – Vice Chairperson – Chuckery area
Chris Edwards – Secretary - Butts area
Pam Lane – Treasurer – Highgate area
You will all know or have read about Melvyn Shaw, as his profile was advertised in the winter edition of Local Gossip in line with the process agreed for election of the Chair.
In Mel’s (as he like’s to be called) profile he included his vision for Offserve and include in this was the aim to: “re-energise to build on it’s (Offserve’s) foundations, becoming more inclusive by finding new ways to engage residents who may not be available during the daytime and by reaching out to young people and those from minority communities, if we fail to move forward I fear the panel will stagnate and risk intervention from our regulators”. He has also suggested that the time may be right to change the name Offserve, and he would like your suggestions.
