Mental Health Services

Oak House
This is a care home regulated by the Commission for Social Care & Inspection. We provide 12 places for adults aged 18 to 65 who are recovering from, or learning to live with, the effects of mental illness. Clients use Oak House as a “stepping stone” to greater independence -- we do not offer very long term placements. There is a weekly fee for this service, which is usually funded by the local authority subject to a financial needs assessment. Check our current Star Rating and see our Inspection Reports at www.csci.org.uk

Housing Support Service (Mental Health)
We provide housing related support direct to the homes of up to 90 clients within the Walsall area. We cannot provide care but we offer a wide range of help aimed at obtaining a new tenancy and ensuring our clients can remain safely in their home indefinitely. There is a weekly fee for this service but this is usually funded by the local authority Supporting People unit, subject to their “Fairer Charging” assessment. Find out more about Supporting People at www.spkweb.org.uk
We also offer a more specialised service for up to 15 female black, minority or ethnic clients who not only experience mental illness but who also have a history of offending behaviour. This service is available to all female offenders who suffer from mental health.
